The Noguchi Museum
The Noguchi Museum is dedicated to the art and legacy of renowned Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi (1904–1988). Founded by Noguchi himself in 1985, it was the first museum in the United States established and designed by a living artist specifically to display their own work. Housed in a repurposed 1920s industrial building and an adjacent modern pavilion built under Noguchi's supervision, the museum features open air and indoor galleries as well as a tranquil outdoor sculpture garden.
